Datejust 31
A classic, reimagined

A splash of colour. A poetic shimmer. A sense of everlasting spring.

The floral-motif dials of the new Datejust 31 are bursting with fresh energy and full of promise, combining three different finishes – sunray, matt and grained.

High-technology finishing techniques were required to create this motif, a shining example of refined dial-making expertise. The textural effects are further enhanced by 24 diamonds of varying sizes, which illuminate the centre of each flower.

The Oyster Perpetual Datejust 31 is offered in three versions: a white Rolesor version – combining Oystersteel and white gold – with an azzurro-blue, floral-motif dial, a fluted bezel and an Oyster bracelet; an 18 ct yellow gold version with an olive-green, floral-motif dial, a bezel set with 46 brilliant-cut diamonds and a President bracelet; and an Everose Rolesor version – combining Oystersteel and Everose gold – with a silver, floral-motif dial, a bezel set with 46 brilliant-cut diamonds and a Jubilee bracelet.

Datejust 31 ambiance

Timeless style

The Datejust is the archetype of the classic watch according to Rolex, thanks to functions and aesthetics that never go out of fashion. Launched in 1945, it was the first self-winding waterproof chronometer wristwatch to display the date in a window at 3 o’clock on the dial, and consolidated all the major innovations that the brand had contributed to the modern wristwatch until then. The Datejust has spanned eras while retaining the enduring aesthetic characteristics that make it so instantly recognizable.

Rolesor, a marriage of gold and steel

Rolesor, the combination of gold and Oystersteel on a Rolex watch, has been a signature feature of the brand since 1933, when the name was registered. It is a meeting of two metals: one, noble and precious, attractive for its lustre and stability; the other, highly resistant to corrosion, assuring strength and reliability. All of these qualities mirror the elegance and performance that come together in a Rolex watch.

On the new white Rolesor version of the Datejust 31, the bezel is made of white gold, while the winding crown, middle case, bracelet and clasp are in Oystersteel. On the new Everose Rolesor version, the bezel, winding crown and centre links of the bracelet are in Everose gold, while the case and outer links of the bracelet are in Oystersteel.
