The Yacht-Master’s versions in 18 ct gold are fitted with an Oysterflex bracelet. Developed by Rolex and patented, this innovative bracelet singularly combines the robustness and reliability of a metal bracelet with the suppleness, comfort and aesthetics of an elastomer strap. It is composed of two flexible curved metal blades – one for each bracelet section – overmoulded with high-performance black elastomer. This material is resistant to environmental effects, non-allergenic and very durable.
For enhanced comfort, the inside of the Oysterflex bracelet is equipped with longitudinal cushions. Fitted with an 18 ct gold Oysterlock safety clasp, the Yacht-Master’s Oysterflex bracelet also features the Rolex Glidelock extension system, designed by the brand and patented. This inventive toothed mechanism, integrated beneath the clasp, allows fine adjustment of the Oysterflex bracelet length by some 15 mm in increments of approximately 2.5 mm, without the use of tools.
Developed in the late 1930s, the Oyster bracelet is a particularly robust metal bracelet with three-piece links and remains the most universal bracelet in the Oyster Perpetual collection. It is equipped with an Oysterlock folding clasp, which prevents accidental opening and the Easylink comfort extension link, also exclusive to Rolex. This ingenious patented system allows the wearer to adjust the bracelet length by approximately 5 mm, for additional comfort in any circumstance.
The Oyster bracelet in RLX titanium also includes patented ceramic inserts – developed by Rolex – inside the links to enhance its flexibility on the wrist and its longevity.
