At The Amundi Evian Championship, the finest talents from across the globe test their mettle on one of golf’s most challenging and visually stunning courses, while helping to enrich the game’s most revered traditions.

One of the five women’s Majors, the tournament’s honour roll of past champions includes Rolex Testimonees Annika Sörenstam (2000, 2002), her fellow Swede Anna Nordqvist (2017) and New Zealand’s Lydia Ko (2015).

Lydia Ko

Lydia Ko occupies a special place in golf history. In early 2015, the then 17-year-old Korean-born New Zealander became the youngest World No. 1 – in men’s and women’s golf. Months later, she became the youngest woman to win a Major with her victory at The Amundi Evian Championship, aged 18 years, 4 months and 20 days. She added another Major, the ANA Inspiration, the following year and earned the prestigious Rolex ANNIKA Major Award.

Anna Nordqvist

Anna Nordqvist has been one of golf’s most consistent performers for more than a decade. In 2017, she won The Amundi Evian Championship after prevailing in a play-off contested in driving rain and wind. The manner in which the Swede claimed victory highlighted both her skill and fighting qualities. It was her second Major, following the LPGA Championship title she won in 2009 during her rookie year.

Brooke Henderson

Brooke Henderson is a model of high performance and consistency. Since turning professional in 2015, she has won at least one title in all but one season. Victory as an 18-year-old at the 2016 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship made her that Major’s youngest winner and the second youngest to win any of the women’s five top tournaments. Through all her triumphs, she has become the most successful Canadian golfer ever.
