From India to the international arena

Jeev Milkha Singh is the son of legendary Indian track and field sprinter Milkha Singh, who was known as the “Flying Sikh”, and Nirmal Saini, a former captain of the Indian women’s national volleyball team.

He turned professional in 1993 and made history as one of the first Indian golfers to compete on the global stage. Victories, including the Volvo China Open in 2006 and the Barclays Singapore Open in 2008, positioned him as a leading figure in golf, a status further confirmed with his Scottish Open win in 2012.

A two-time winner of the Asian Tour Order of Merit, Singh was the first Indian player to break into the top 50 of the Official Golf World Ranking and the first to play at the Masters Tournament.
