Nick Dunlap
Crafting a path to golfing excellence
Having made the transition from standout amateur to professional golfer, Nick Dunlap is one of the most exciting young talents in the sport today. His early victories on the PGA TOUR® reflect both his natural talent and his readiness to compete among golf’s elite.
A smooth transition
Nick Dunlap has quickly made a name for himself in the world of golf, transitioning from accomplished amateur to successful professional.
After claiming both the U.S. Junior Amateur and U.S. Amateur titles, Dunlap made history in early 2024 by winning The American Express tournament on the PGA TOUR® as an amateur. Shortly after, he turned professional, and in July won the Barracuda Championship.
Professional prominence
Nick Dunlap’s golf career took off at an early age, but it was his 2021 victory in the U.S. Junior Amateur Championship that set him apart, placing him alongside some of the sport’s greats to have won this prestigious title.
That same year he also won the Dustin Johnson World Junior Championship and the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) Polo Golf Junior Classic.
In August 2023, he further cemented his reputation by winning the U.S. Amateur, becoming only the second player, alongside Tiger Woods, to claim both titles. The following month he helped the United States team to victory against Great Britain and Ireland at the Walker Cup, the leading amateur men’s team competition. In January 2024, Dunlap won The American Express title, becoming the first amateur to win a PGA TOUR® event since Phil Mickelson in 1991. Following this win, he turned professional and made tour history with his victory at the Barracuda Championship, becoming the first player to win as an amateur and a professional in the same season. At the time of his transition, Dunlap was ranked World No. 1 amateur golfer.
Nick Dunlap became a Rolex Testimonee in 2024.
