Jessica Springsteen’s equestrian journey began in New Jersey where she grew up on a horse farm and developed a deep connection with the animals.
Her early success included winning the 2008 ASPCA Maclay Finals and the 2009 WEF Excellence in Equitation Championship, achievements that set the stage for her future in competitive show jumping. After graduating from Duke University in 2014, Springsteen’s career progressed swiftly, and she captured her first major international win that year at the American Gold Cup. In 2016, she earned her first five-star Grand Prix jumping victory with her horse Cynar VA, and continued to build an impressive record by winning the 5* Falcon Stakes at the CHI Royal Windsor Horse Show the following year.
Some defining moments of Springsteen’s career have come when she has represented her country. Riding her stallion Don Juan van de Donkhoeve on her Olympic Games debut, she helped the United States secure team silver at Tokyo 2020 and also contributed to the team’s victory in the Nations Cup at CHIO Aachen in 2021.
Another career milestone came in 2021 when Springsteen won her first Rolex Grand Prix at the Brussels Stephex Masters, a highly prestigious achievement that cemented her status as a top competitor.
In 2023, she added another remarkable win by capturing the CSI5* Grand Prix of London with her trusted Don Juan van de Donkhoeve.
