Kent Farrington has dominated the sport with multiple Grand Prix victories, including wins at top-level events such as the CHIO Aachen and the CHI Geneva, solidifying his status as one of the most successful American riders.

Kent Farrington’s journey began in Chicago, where he developed a passion for horses and started taking lessons at a local stable.
His talent became evident when he won the Washington International Equitation Medal and the coveted Eiser/Pessoa National Equitation Medal Finals. At 18, he confirmed his outstanding potential by claiming gold at the 1999 North American Young Riders International Competition.
A former World No. 1-ranked rider, Farrington is renowned for his determination and resilience. Among his many outstanding achievements, he took team gold at the 2011 Pan American Games and team bronze at the FEI World Equestrian Games™ in 2014. He won the Rolex IJRC Top 10 Final for the first time the following year and claimed a maiden Olympic medal at Rio in 2016 when helping the USA team secure show jumping silver. In 2017, he won the CHI Geneva Rolex Grand Prix.
Farrington became the first U.S. rider to win both the Rolex Grand Prix at Aachen and the Rolex IJRC Top 10 Final in the same year, doing so in 2019. His success has extended into the 2020s, with numerous victories at prestigious events such as the Winter Equestrian Festival and the American Gold Cup Grand Prix as well as taking individual silver and team gold at the 2023 Pan American Games.
