From college champion to golfing elite

Inspired by his father, Mike Thomas, a PGA professional, Justin Thomas began his golf journey at a young age.

He quickly rose through the amateur ranks, showcasing his outstanding play. In 2012, Thomas won the Haskins Award as the most outstanding collegiate golfer while playing for the University of Alabama. Turning professional the following year, he secured his first PGA TOUR® victory at the 2015 CIMB Classic. His breakthrough season came in 2017, when he won five events – including his first major championship – and was named the PGA Tour Player of the Year.

With his second PGA Championship title, Thomas became just the sixth player to claim 15 PGA TOUR® titles before the age of 30. Among those to have accomplished the feat are fellow Rolex Testimonees Jack Nicklaus, Tom Watson and Tiger Woods. The victory also made Thomas the only player to win at least one tournament in each season from 2015 to 2022 inclusive. His impressive achievements include multiple victories and consistently high rankings, reflecting his talent and dedication to the game. Thomas has regularly taken part in the leading team competitions, helping the US team to victory in four Presidents Cups™ and once at The Ryder Cup.

Justin Thomas became a Rolex Testimonee in 2014.
