Ludvig Åberg has used his excellent swing and great ball-striking ability – especially off the tee – to become one of the most highly rated players in the men’s game.
His accomplishments on the amateur circuit, including being top of the World Amateur Golf Ranking for 29 weeks, laid a strong foundation for his entry to professional play.
Rising up the ranks
Åberg’s journey in golf was drastically accelerated when he won the Ben Hogan Award as the best collegiate player in the United States in 2022 and 2023.
Following his transition to professional golf, he quickly made his mark with victories on the DP World Tour and PGA TOUR® within five months, highlighting his readiness to compete at the highest level.
Åberg confirmed his reputation as a formidable competitor when helping the European team to victory on his Ryder Cup debut in 2023. In November that year, he claimed his first PGA TOUR® title at the RSM Classic. His performance continued to impress as he made his major championship debut at the 2024 Masters, finishing runner-up.
