Caroline Wozniacki is one of Denmark’s most successful athletes.

Known for her exceptional defensive skills and strategic court play, Wozniacki topped the world rankings for the first time in 2010, a position she would hold at various times in her career for a total of 71 weeks. Renowned for her tenacity and consistency, she achieved Grand Slam® glory at the 2018 Australian Open.

Born to parents who had careers in elite-level sport, Caroline Wozniacki began playing tennis at the age of seven.

Her breakthrough came in 2008 when she won her first WTA title, in Stockholm, aged 18. Wozniacki’s career has been marked by numerous achievements, including winning the 2018 Australian Open singles title. She also reached the final of the US Open twice and in 2017 won the end-of-season WTA Finals, the most prestigious tournament outside of the four Grand Slam® events. Known for her defensive playing style and incredible endurance, Wozniacki has been a major drawcard in women’s tennis for many years.

Beyond her on-court achievements, she is admired for her exemplary sporting conduct and serves as an inspiration to aspiring tennis players globally.
