Reaching new heights in 2024
Jannik Sinner has taken the tennis world by storm with his powerful groundstrokes and remarkable composure on court.
A native of San Candido in northern Italy, he began playing at a young age, transitioning from promising junior skier to tennis prodigy. After turning professional in 2018, Sinner made his breakthrough in 2020 when he reached the quarter-finals at Roland-Garros, showcasing his potential on the Grand Slam® stage. Three years later, he won the Canadian Open to claim his first ATP Masters 1000 title and reached the final of the Nitto ATP Finals before guiding Italy to a spectacular victory in the 2023 Davis Cup Finals. He carried that form into 2024 when his career reached new heights as he claimed his first Grand Slam® singles titles, winning the Australian Open and the US Open. As a result of his magnificent form, he climbed to the top spot in the men’s rankings in June and held on to that position to finish as the year-end World No. 1. He began 2025 in similarly dominant fashion, capturing a third Grand Slam® title when he once again triumphed at the Australian Open.
